The HeartCode PALS Online Course includes an online eBook, so there is no need to purchase that separately. Student has access to eBook for 24 months.

Precourse Self-Assessment Required!
All Students must complete the Precourse Self-Assessment prior to entering the HeartCode PALS Online Course. A score of 70% or higher is necessary to pass. Multiple attempts are allowed until a passing score is achieved. Print your score and bring to class.

Attend Scheduled Skills Session
After completing the HeartCode PALS Online Course and printing the Certificate of Completion and Precourse Self-Assessment, attend the scheduled Skills Session and receive AHA card.

HeartCode PALS Online
The HeartCode PALS Online Course is a comprehensive eLearning program that uses eSimulation technology to allow Students to assess and treat patients in virtual healthcare settings. In this environment, Students apply their knowledge to real-time decision-making and skills development.

Students are then presented with 12 In-hospital patient cases and a team dynamics lesson. Cases may be repeated as many times as necessary to pass. Upon successful completion of all the patient cases, Students must pass the multiple-choice exam with a minimum score of 84%. Exam may be taken multiple times. The HeartCode PALS Online Course is a self-paced course is accessible anytime from any computer. This course is for healthcare professionals seeking an alternative method for completing an initial or renewal PALS Provider Course.

Students who successfully complete the online portion of the course receive a certificate granting them access to a PALS Hands-on Session with an AHA PALS Instructor.

Course Details

  • Length: Online average 7.5 hours / Skills Session two (2) hours
  • Student must bring Certificate of Completion and PALS Precourse Self-Assessment from online class
  • Course Skills Session
    Student should review Skills Sheets prior to class:

  • Child CPR with AED Skills Testing
  • Infant CPR Skills Testing
  • Management of respiratory emergencies
  • IO access
  • Must perform as team leader for one cardiac core case testing scenario and one respiratory or shock core case testing scenario

CEUs Available
The CPR Lady Training Center has been accredited as an Authorized Provider to offer CEUs to Dentists (DDS or DMD), Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT), Paramedics (Medic), Pharmacists (RPh), Physician Assistants (PA), Respiratory Care Practitioners (RCP or RT), Registered Nurses (RN) and Nurse Practitioners (NP)

The American Heart Association is authorized to offer Continuing Medical Education Accreditation to Physicians and Physician Assistants, AANP Credit Acceptance Statement to Nurse Practitioners, Continuing Education Accreditation to Nurses, Continuing Education Accreditation to Pharmacists, Continuing Education Accreditation to Emergency Medical Services for the online portion of course. Credits are claimed on the AHA website but there are time limits of 30 days to 6 months depending on accrediting agency.

The CPR Lady provides American Heart Association CPR BLS Provider and Instructor certifications and renewals throughout Southern California including Orange County, LA County, San Diego County, and Inland Empire, as well as, San Luis Obispo County, Santa Barbara County, Sacramento County and the San Francisco Bay Area. The CPR Lady is authorized to issue AHA cards in California, Arizona and Nevada.

Students must request CEUs at the time of class, state their profession, give their license number, and sign the CEU Roster. CEUs cannot be issued after the class is completed and closed.
